When the series ended recently, we know that Eurus and Moriarty conspired against Sherlock and Eurus did mention that Moriarty recorded many little clips for her before he DIED. WebSo when they're stabbed in them it essentially restricts the blood flow until they remove their belt. Loosening the skin and all that built up blood gushes out of the stab wound instead of regularly circulating through the body.
